HDPE pipe fittings for water transportation: Plug&Play® guarantees a fast and reliable connection

Thanks to our dedication to innovation, we are now more than ever focused to export brand new products to offer sustainable and easy solutions. In terms of environmental care , we are committed to water saving and this is why we have been continuously developing innovative HDPE pipe fittings that optimize installation time and available resources. In particular, SAB SpA -one of our 19 sister companies- developed a push-fit fitting to connect polyethylene pipes from Ø20mm to Ø315mm. Plug&Play® can provide a quick installation even in adverse weather conditions by giving reliable result over time.

Technical advantages of push-fit fittings made in System Group

The clear objective is to offer to our partners a simple, highly -performing solution that considerably reduces installation time. This is why System Group developed these push-fit fittings made in polypropylene that can be inserted directly onto the pipe by hand or by an inserting device that facilitate the work.

Plug&Play® is the ideal solution for waterworks applications that include polyethylene pipes with pressures up to PN16 (SDR11). These couplings have a lip seal and a special conical anti-slip grip ring necessary to provide a simple and quick installation.

Our certificates: a proof of high standard quality

System Group heavily focuses on quality from the beginning of the production process and uses top quality raw materials. Those allow to gain multiple certifications issued by accredited organizations over the years. Specifically, our push-fit fittings have been through various tests to obtain main international certifications in order to be in contact with drinking water. Here below the main list of the met standards

  • ISO17885
  • UNI9561
  • BRL-K17105
  • DIN8076
  • AS/NZS4129
  • PE pipe and Plug&Play

Avoiding welding, glue and mechanical tightening typical for EF or compression fittings

One of the best benefits these fittings offer is the avoidance of welding, gluing and of mechanical tightening typical for compression fittings. Due to their ease of installation, they are also ideal for repairs on construction sites in old town centers, in inaccessible areas and in adverse situations such as extreme temperatures.

Furthermore, this system can guarantee a significant saving in terms of time and money (check the comparison between electrofusion fittings and Plug&Play®), thanks to the reduction in the need for machinery and the substantial reduction in installation time. In this specific case, we have compared the installation time of a Ø90 electrofusion and Plug&Play® couplings and we found that it takes about 18 minutes (assembly, welding and cooling) for the first solution while it takes only 30 seconds for our push-fit coupling. This is a real comparison witnessed by our video here.

Plug&Play® has been chosen and approved by our customer IBECO

IBECO, one of our key partners for North Europe, is a well-recognized distribution company in the water supply business. They do have an extended experience in Plug&Play® due to the several projects carried out in bad weather conditions, snow and frost. Among the references on different Swedish communities and municipalities where Plug&Play® Couplings have been installed, we can quote:

  • Ale Community Total: 90pcs 250mm couplings in one project, installation with one coupling every 12meters. This community has been using different dimensions on the couplings on a regular basis for many years and they are satisfied with the product.
  • Alingsås Community Total: around 100 couplings in different dimensions, but mostly of the times dimension 110mm and 160mm. They have used the couplings for many years on a regular basis and think they are a nice complement instead of welding couplings.
  • Arboga Community Total: using mostly dimensions 110 and 160mm couplings, have used them for several years and has ordered over 100 couplings. Have used the couplings in several projects.
