As a new type of engineering plastic pipe with excellent comprehensive properties, the ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene pipe (UHMWPE pipe) can be used in the transportation of all kinds of liquid, gas, powder or solid-liquid mixture with high wear resistance, high adhesion and high corrosion.
1. Introduction
The ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene pipe (UHMWPE pipe) is widely used in oil fields, mines, power plants, dredging, alkali plant, chemical industry, aluminum industry, all kinds of crude oil, tailings slurry, coal water slurry, power plant ash discharge, white mud, red mud etc. The service life is 4-6 times than that of steel pipe under strong corrosion and high wear conditions, which fully shows the advantages of "energy saving, environmental protection, economy and high efficiency".

4. Application
(1) Thermal power generation: fly ash transportation, backwater pipeline.
(2) Oil exploitation: pumping pipe lining, gathering pipe, single well pipe.

5. Key Advantages
(1) High wear resistance: The ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene engineering plastic pipeline has extremely high anti-sliding friction capability. In the case of the same condition, the wear resistance is more than 6 times than that of the carbon steel.
(2) Anti-corrosion: The ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene is a saturated intermolecular structure, so its chemical stability is extremely high, and it can resist the erosion of various corrosive media (acid, alkali, salt) and organic solvent in a certain temperature and concentration range.
(3) High impact resistance: the impact resistance and absorption impact energy of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) pipe ranks first in plastics, and it is difficult to crack whether the external force is strong or the internal pressure fluctuates. The impact strength is 10 times of that of nylon 66 and 4 times of that of polyethylene PE100.
(4) Super tensile strength and pressure bearing ability: the tensile strength of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene pipe is twice as high as that of PE100, and the resistance to environmental stress cracking is more than 1 times of that of PE100. Therefore, the pressure bearing ability and environmental damage resistance of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene pipeline are much higher than those of general polyethylene pipe.
(5) Weather resistance and aging resistance: ultra high molecular weight polyethylene pipe has good weather resistance and aging resistance. Because the unsaturated groups in the molecular chain of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) are very few and the molecular weight is large, the mechanical properties of the pipeline can still be maintained more than 70% even if it has been used for about 50 years.
(6) Good energy-saving effect: the ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene pipe has the self-lubricating property and the non-adhesive property, and the friction coefficient is small. The inner wall of the pipeline produced by the special process has the advantages of corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance and no scaling, so the flow resistance is small.
(7) Light, easy to connect, easy to install: the unit pipe length of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene pipe is only 1/8 of the weight of steel pipe, which brings convenience to loading and unloading, transportation, installation and use. Flange connection or hot melt welding is used in the connection.
(8) Economy: the price of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene pipe is lower than that of traditional steel pipe, coupled with low friction coefficient, large circulation capacity, high impact strength, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, weather resistance and many other factors, its performance-price ratio is much higher than that of other plastic pipes and steel pipes.
