HDPE Electrofusion Fittings and Special Parts for Water and Gas under Pressure
ELOFIT is a High Density Polyethylene – HDPE - PE100 system of electrofusion and spigot fittings and special components for the conveyance of water and gas under pressure.
ELOFIT complies with the following standards:
- UNI EN 1555 - ISO 4437 Plastic piping systems for industrial applications Polyethylene (PE100) Part 3:Fittings.
- UNI EN 12201 - ISO 4427 Plastic piping systems for water supply Polyethylene (PE80-PE100) Part 3:Fittings.
- UNI EN ISO 15494 Plastic piping systems for industrial applications - Polyethylene (PE100).
It is manufactured in accordance with the provisions of Ministerial Decree dated 24th November 1984 and meets the requirements set by circular letter no.102 by the Italian Ministry of Health dated 2nd December 1978.
ELOFIT fittings are manufactured by injection moulding of High Density Polyethylene and achieve the highest standards as regards:

ELOFIT is suitable for the conveyance and distribution of drinking water and alimentary fluids, fuel and inert gases and for water treatment plants, centralised irrigation and sewage systems, fire protection systems and pipe relining.
The ELOFIT system is mostly assembled through the electrofusion process.
On the inside, the fitting houses electrical resistors connected to the outside cable terminals. When current moves through them, these resistors generate the heat needed to melt polyethylene.
Energy is transmitted directly and exclusively to the surface where pipe and fitting come into contact with each other, producing heat welding.
The main feature of ELOFIT fittings is the high quality and reliability of the welding. When it cools down, the connection is even, strong, safe and reliable.
