Features and benefits

Our pex pipe is made of 5 layers, the centre of which is a blue coloured oxygen barrier which prevents the ingress of air into the system, reducing the effect of corrosion on metal components. Does a great job, but is difficult to uncoil and straighten. Should be cut with a sharp cutter to get a clean cut.

This pipe ia easy to use, used John Guest push fit fittings, no leaks, much easier to put together than copper.

Mission impossible

This product is IMPOSSIBLE to straighten from its original coiled shape. It is absolutely no good when installing in chases and would put tremendous pressure on the joint. Threw it out and bought straight pipes

Quick and easy

Doubtful at first, I have successfully re-plumbed my entire house with this pipe. The cost is comparable to copper when fittings are taken into consideration but the big plus is just how quick and easy it is to use. Cut the pipe, get your joint, push it on, move onto the next one - fantasticly simple! For a DIYer who is unsure about soldering copper, or who does not want to spend out on compression fittings, you can't go wrong. The only downside is that any visible joints tend to look bulkier than their soldered copper counterparts however, having said that, it's so easy even your granny could use it!
